Both the lobby and the bar are colonial style in design. The owner worked as an anthropologist and travelled extensively throughout Africa and Asia. Artefacts from his travels fill the bar; African masks, drums and arrows, Asian cupboards, Chinese drawings all make these rooms very special.

The lobby is the hub of the hotel where you can relax and meet other guests. Around the Indian table some guests sit with their laptops and surf (via the hotel"s free wireless internet) while drinking an espresso from the complimentary coffee machine. This is the space to be creative while observing. The mood here is purposeful and focused. In the lobby there are also two stationary guest computers with free internet access.
